I am a licensed secondary English teacher, and I have a certificate in College and Career Counseling from UCSD. I received my BA from Linfield College, and my M. Ed. from George Fox University. In addition to my role as one of two Workforce Development Program Managers at AGC, I am an adjunct professor at Warner Pacific University in their Adult Degree Program. I spent several years counseling high school and college students about career opportunities, and I realized that not every student is “college material,” including my three nephews. This prompted me to expand my knowledge of careers that didn’t follow the “traditional college” route. I left the public school system in March 2018 to take a position at Associated General Contractors (AGC), expanding outreach to schools statewide through our Educator Externship program and other programs. In addition to K-16, my outreach includes helping veterans connect with employers.
