Jason Petrait is a Project Manager at the Workforce Development Council of Seattle-King County. He oversees WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker contracts, supervises Prior Learning and Re-entry grants, and provides apprenticeship expertise and management for American Apprenticeship Initiative and Career Connect Washington grants. A member of National Skills Coalition’s Work-based learning advisory panel, Jason relishes the opportunity to expand apprenticeship into non-traditional sectors while providing policy recommendations that focus on ensuring equitable access to apprenticeship.
Previously, Jason served as Director of Special Projects at South Seattle College’s Georgetown campus, the largest apprenticeship center in the northwest. From writing grants to delivering training, he oversaw staff and projects that served a diverse population of apprentices and pre-apprentices. A Seattle native, Jason earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington, and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Seattle University in 2017.
